Why is Jaxon Barber running?

Born and raised in Greensboro, North Carolina, my background includes a family history in education and entrepreneurship. My father, a history teacher for 24 years, transitioned to running a landscaping business, chasing the American Dream. My mother, an educator as well, paused her career to raise me and my five siblings. After technical training at GTCC I received a mechanical contractors license.Through these experiences I have gained insight to the challenges faced by educators, business owners, and laborers. I know the struggle of paying bills on time and just trying put food on the table, and I want to ease that burden for all my fellow North Carolinians.  Above all else, I am a Christian, and I am running for the North Carolina State House of Representatives because we need a trustworthy voice who can bridge the generational gap with the younger voters in our communities while standing firm on the Word of God and conservative values. I believe the hearts of the fathers must be turned to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers. Together, I believe we can make the crooked ways straight and fortify North Carolina in the conservative roots and biblical principles it was built upon.
